5 Last-Minute Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas

Valentine’s Day is TOMORROW, and if you’re anything like me, getting a gift hasn’t been your top priority.  Life has a funny way of helping you forget the little things.

So, here’s a list of last-minute, out-of-the-box Valentine’s Day gift ideas for that special someone.  The best part is, they’re easy to find!

1.  The Regulars

Chocolates, flowers, and jewelry.  This one isn’t “out-of-the-box” but since they’re the regular choices, I figured they deserve a spot on the list.  They’re probably the most accessible options, and will still be appreciated.  If you want to be different, instead of roses opt for carnations or peonies, or something more exotic, like orchids.  For some of the best chocolates you can find, Hughes Chocolates are local (right here in Oshkosh!) and my absolute favorite.  And for jewelry, diamonds are a girl’s best friend, but rubies and sapphires also sparkle beautifully, and are a little more out-of-the-box.

2.  Can’t Beat Homemade

Make your honey something delicious right at home!  Make their favorite meal, or make them something new, like this recipe for strawberry jam palmiers from Midwest Nice. (Bonus: it’s only TWO ingredients!)

3.  Discover Something Local

When it comes to gifts, the best gift you can ever give is the gift of memories.  Make some new ones by discovering a new local treasure together!  The Fox Valley communities are FULL of amazing experiences, and many of them only a couple of minutes drive from any other location in their city.

One of my personal favorites is Timshel in Neenah, WI.  Their coffee is delicious, and their BLT is absolutely the BEST I’ve ever had!  They even have vegetarian options.  They have several seating options, including a bright room with glass above and around to let in a lot of light. If you want to try something different for a Valentine’s Day lunch, Timshel is a great choice.

4. Date Night In A Box

This one will probably be a fun time for you to shop for.  Get all of your sweetie’s favorite things and put them together in a box with a movie.  Include their favorite snacks, a new pair of comfy pj’s, a couple of candles, and maybe include dinner. (Or order their favorite take-out.)  You can even spice things up by making a “coupon” book with some of their favorites: a night off from dishes, a foot or back massage, or that special thing they like most behind closed doors 😉

5. A Boudoir Session

I would be doing you – and myself – a disservice if I didn’t include a boudoir session on this list.  Not only is a boudoir session a great gift, it’s a great experience.  You can choose to have a session for yourself and give the images to your love, or you can buy a session for the love of your life and get to enjoy the images yourself, or you can even do a boudoir session together to celebrate your relationship!

Regardless of your how you choose to have the session, the end results and the experience will be a blast.  (And I can help with the details!  Contact me here to chat.)
