Unforgettable Bachelorette Party Ideas for Unconventional Brides

When we think of bachelorette parties, Las Vegas is often the first thing that comes to mind. With its dazzling lights, endless entertainment options, and non-stop party atmosphere, Vegas is the ultimate destination for a wild and unforgettable celebration.  Every movie and TV show involving a bachelorette party usually leads the cast on some ill-fated adventure traipsing through casinos and dance clubs before culminating in an argument between besties and concluding with a friendship make-up that makes us all go “awwwwwwwww.”

Despite all that glitz and glamour, and the Hollywood friend-unfriend-friend again trope, Vegas isn’t the destination for every bride.  Some brides-to-be may prefer a more low-key and intimate celebration that’s closer to home. If you fall into this category, don’t worry – there are plenty of other unconventional bachelorette party ideas that can be just as fun and memorable. Here’s 8 unique ideas that you and your friends can consider to celebrate your upcoming nuptials in style.

*I am NOT affiliated with any of the businesses linked in this blog post.  I am not collecting anything from them for you clicking on the links, nor am I endorsed by them in any way.*

1. A Day at the Spa

Relax and rejuvenate with a spa day. Treat yourself to manicures and pedicures, facials, and other beauty treatments to feel refreshed and renewed.  Starstruck Artistry is one of my favorite places to get some pampering done, and they have a wide range of services to make you and your party look and feel like the rockstars you are!  Bonus: they’re located right here in Oshkosh, and I know they also offer bridal hair and makeup if you’re looking.

2. Beer and/or Wine Tasting

Take a tour of a local winery or brewery or plan your own tasting event for a sophisticated and fun experience. You can learn about different types of wine and/or beer while enjoying good company and delicious food.

Here in Oshkosh, we are lucky to have a whole host of great breweries and taprooms, such as Fox River Brewing (their crunch tenders are AMAZING by the way!), Fifth Ward Brewing Company, and Bare Bones Brewery, just to name a few for those who are fans of beer.  If you’re a wine fan, the Downtown Oshkosh Wine Walk is a fun way try several different wines while visiting the incredible businesses and experiences downtown Oshkosh has to offer!

3. Escape Room

Put your problem-solving skills to the test with an escape room adventure. Work together with your entire bachelorette party to solve puzzles and riddles and escape before time runs out!  Escape Oshkosh has a great selection of rooms that will keep you on your toes and make your bachelorette party one EVERYONE will talk about!

Want to up the ante a little?  Involve BOTH bach parties and make it a competition!  Each party gets their own escape room, and the party that finishes last has to buy the party that finishes first dinner.

4. Art Classes

Are you and your party the artsy types? Get creative and express yourself with an art class!  Try painting, pottery, or sculpture classes to learn new skills and create something special to remember the day by.

Fire Escape right on Main Street in downtown Oshkosh offers some fun and exciting classes and workshops in pretty much anything you can want to do – from pottery painting, to fluid art, and so much more!

5. Glamping

Glamping, anyone?  Take camping to the next level with glamping. Enjoy the beauty of nature with all the comforts of home, including comfortable beds, indoor plumbing, and even electricity!  If you flock with nature-lovers, but still want to enjoy a bachelorette party with all the amenities, this might be the way to go for you.

And if you’re looking for something out in the woods but still close enough to home, check out Getaway Wild Rose.  The cabins there look so serene and glamourous!

6. Road Trip

Hit the road and explore a new destination. Choose a nearby city or a faraway land and plan a road trip filled with adventure, great food, and good company!

If you’re looking for a Wisconsin road trip for your bachelorette party, you’re in luck: there’s an endless list of great places to visit to fit every taste!  Door County, the Wisconsin Dells, any of the beautiful state parks, and so, so much more!

7. Music Festival

Dance the night away at a music festival or concert. Enjoy live music, great food, and an unforgettable experience with your closest friends.  Downtown Oshkosh Music on Main features a different band every Wednesday from June 7th until September 27th, right on Opera House Square in downtown Oshkosh, so you can enjoy great music, incredible food from any of the amazing eateries in the area, and explore what downtown has to offer!

8. Bachelorette Boudoir Party

I would be doing myself a great disservice if I didn’t plug one of my own services right here, so here it is:

Get ready to feel beautiful and empowered with a boudoir party. Let me and my glam team help you create stunning photos that celebrate your unique beauty and femininity, and capture the essence that you and your bachelorette party manifest.  Complete with hair and makeup, full client closet access, and individual time in front of the camera (as well as plenty of all of you having a great time!) this is one party you’ll definitely never forget – and might even want to do again.  Go ahead and hit that contact button and I’ll give you all the deets!

Bonus: the bride gets to participate for free!

No matter which idea you choose, as long as your bachelorette party includes your closest friends and activities you enjoy, you’ll be sure to create unforgettable memories that you’ll cherish for a lifetime!

Allow me to introduce you to my current obsession in my Downtown Oshkosh studio:

Neon Alley.

If you’re a fan of vibrant colors and black light glow, Neon Alley is probably right up your alley.  The neon signs create an amazing array of hue and light, and I just.can’t.get.enough.  When I say I’m obsession, I mean I am obsessessed.

Boudoir Session Inspiration

I’ve known ever since I opened my first studio here in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, that I wanted a neon wall or area all my own.  The glow of neon signs and the melding of colors speaks to my artsy and creative soul in a way that I don’t know how to describe.

The inspiration for my little Neon Alley isn’t hard to find: back in the city we lived in in Colorado, there’s a very unique local attraction in the downtown that is known as Neon Alley.  The name is much more fitting in that case.  Pueblo, Colorado’s Neon Alley is a literal alley spanning a couple of city blocks with several businesses on either side, and wired all over up and down that alley are neon signs of all styles and sizes, from well-known restaurants, to random winged horses, to an extremely large Hollywood sign.  It’s really no surprise that it’s a huge destination for all manner of portraits.  (Although I’ll admit boudoir would have been a challenge, since it’s a public place.)

It was one of my favorite places to photograph in, and was one of the things I missed when we moved.

Bringing Neon Alley to the Fox Valley

After a visit back to Colorado this summer and re-visiting Neon Alley, I was determined to make my dream of a neon space in my own studio a reality.

Once we returned home to Wisconsin, we set out to work.  My husband, who is very handy and a much better builder than I am, helped me fix up an unused space in the studio basement to bring my vision to life of an “alley” with neon signs and a white brick wall.  The vinyl records on the walls were my own little idea, and I’ll admit I’m kind of impressed with how they reflect the lights from the signs when lit up.

All-in-all, it took about a week of set up to bring my own little slice of Neon Alley to the Fox Valley for all of my boudoir sessions to enjoy, and I couldn’t be happier with the results!

I love Neon Alley so much, it’s STANDARD for EVERY boudoir session in my Downtown Oshkosh studio!

The Most Common Misconceptions About Boudoir Photography

The Wine Walk this weekend in Downtown Oshkosh was one of the most fun events I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of.  Meeting so many members of this community I’m privileged to be in while sharing one of my most favorite things (wine) was incredibly interesting and filled with so many great conversations (and more than a couple hilarious new memories) and I can’t wait to participate in even more of these events.

It was very informative, as well.  While I didn’t get to spend nearly as much time with each individual as I would have liked, it gave me a chance to learn what type of thoughts people have about boudoir photography.  I’ve found most people have very positive thoughts about boudoir and want to have a session (or have had one done in the past).  Some people love the idea of boudoir and its impact on the subject, but don’t have any interest in having a session themselves.  Some people have no idea what it is, and therefore haven’t formed an opinion on it.

I’ve only met a handful of people with negative opinions of boudoir photography, and most of those negative opinions are formed based on some interesting misconceptions.  While the Wine Walk gave me a chance to address some of those misconceptions for at least a handful of people right there in my beautiful Downtown Oshkosh boudoir studio, it wasn’t on a very large scale, and I know many people still believe these things because they’ve never been told otherwise.

So, I’m while I’m more than happy to tell people what boudoir photography is, I’m also very passionate about educating people on what boudoir photography isn’t.

Here’s just a few of the misconceptions about boudoir photography that might be scaring you away from having the experience of a lifetime.

Stunning blonde woman in shorts, posing on her knees on a bed. Boudoir styled photography by Inferno Boudoir in Oshkosh, Wisconsin capturing elegance and beauty.

You have to wear lingerie or be naked.

This is simply not true at all!  While you can choose to wear lingerie and/or in various stages of undress, you don’t have to be.  I’ve had many clients elect for a more modest boudoir session with the use of sweaters, stockings, even shorts and long sleeve shirts.  Implied nudity, where we use strategically places props like sheets or pillows to cover any of your body, is also very popular for anyone unsure about being photographed fully nude.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: boundaries are incredibly important for any situation, and I make sure we talk about yours at your pre-session consultation before your session.  While I encourage my clients to step out of their comfort zone, I’ll never, ever push past your boundaries.

Other people will see the images.

This is probably one of the top concerns about boudoir photography, especially in the age of social media.  The misconception here is that because there are images on my website, social media, and displayed in my studio samples, that means that all of the images I take are displayed, when, in fact, the truth is far from it.

Booty image of a woman in a shower set by Oshkosh Boudoir Photographer Inferno Boudoir

Every image I have displayed in my portfolio, in my studio, and on any of my online presences is from a client who has signed a model release in some capacity.  A model release is a written document that my clients sign based on what they are okay with being shared: full release, anonymous image only release, or no release at all.  About half of my clients choose to sign a model release after they view their images. That means half of my client images are never seen anywhere (at least not from me).  They’re welcome to share their images as much as they like, but I value privacy and boundaries for all of my clients. I’ll never share your images unless you give me written permission to do so.

You have to know how to pose.

This one is an understandable misconception, because a lot of the poses you see can look intimidating and hard to get into.  The truth is, though, they’re not.  I walk my clients though every pose, first showing them the basics so they know what they’re getting into, and then directing them with each pose on what to do with their limbs and facial expressions.  I typically don’t touch my clients – I’m happy to help with a twisted bra strap or snapping garters to stockings, but outside of that I avoid touching and physically moving my client’s body by hand.  No one want to be touched by a virtual stranger while they’re in lingerie!

Instead, I give very specific directions and display for you exactly what I want you to do.  Boudoir sessions look sexy and glamorous, but really, it’s just a lot of me telling you what to do!

You have to bring your own lingerie.

This might seem like a non-issue to some, but for many, trying to figure out what to wear might be a little scary.  A lot of people don’t own lingerie because they don’t know what to get or even where to shop for it (and don’t even get me started on how hard it is to find inclusive styles and sizes!).  The idea that you have to bring your own items when you don’t have any, or you don’t know what you like or what you feel good in, can be very off-putting when contemplating a boudoir session.

Here’s the truth: not only do I offer TONS of suggestions on where to shop and advice on what to look for, but I also have a Client Closet with several hundred pieces in all sizes and styles from XS to 5XL.  This means you don’t have to bring anything to wear to your boudoir shoot if you don’t want to.  You can choose to wear only Client Closet pieces if you so desire.

I also offer personal shopping trips where I accompany you shopping at your favorite store and help you pick out items that make you feel great and look fabulous.

Image of the Client Closet that is available for Inferno Boudoir clients to use during their sessions. Includes a range of sizes from XS to 6XL.

It’s expensive.

This one is subjective.  Just like anything that you pay money for, everyone will value it differently.  To some, a $6 coffee is expensive, but buying farm-fresh and locally sourced produce is worth paying more, because they value it.  There is no right or wrong answer on how or what people value.

Is a boudoir session an investment?  Yes, it is.  Is it cheap?  No, and honestly probably shouldn’t be.  When it comes to intimate and vulnerable situations like a boudoir session, it can be a red flag if it’s cheap.  If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

I also know that the investment of a boudoir session can make one seem out of reach, which is why I offer payment plans.  We break up your purchase into smaller payments leading up to your session so that when your session arrives, it’s paid for and you can sit back and enjoy your experience without worrying about swiping your card at the end.  This option makes the luxury experience of a boudoir session far more attainable to many people than one lump sum at the end.

Intimate portrait of a woman sitting on a couch. Natural window light creates a soft glow on her face as she plays with her hair.

I’m sure at some point I’ll do another blog about more boudoir misconceptions, so until then, I’d love to know:  did you have any of these ideas about a boudoir session?  Are there are concerns that you have in regard to booking a session for yourself?  Let me know in the comments or reach out at any time to ask.  I’m happy to help!

If you’re ready to book your own session, contact me by filling out the form here and we’ll make the magic happen!

The Big Move

I’ve mentioned it before, but just in case you didn’t know: I’m not originally from Wisconsin.  My family and I are, in fact, sort of new to Oshkosh (and the whole of Wisconsin), having only moved here in November of 2019.  Of course, we had no way of knowing the pandemic would hit only a handful of months later, so that’s put a bit of a damper on our ability to explore and meet people and familiarize ourselves more with our new home area.

A lot of people ask me what brought us to Wisconsin, and specifically Oshkosh.  The short answer is: family.  We visited family in Oshkosh and feel head-over-heels in love with the city, particularly it’s support of small businesses and the Farmer’s Market.  I like to joke that sometimes I feel like we were catfished – our visits were always in the fall, during the brief period when the weather is perfect, with gorgeous colors in the trees and apple picking and dozens of other things that drew us in.  When we finally made the move, however, we were hit with the frigid temperatures of winter, more snow than I think I had ever seen in a single winter. (“You’re from Colorado, though, there’s always snow there!” The area I was born and raised was quite a distance from the mountains, and very much so more plains/desert.  It doesn’t get much snow, and when it does, it’s usually gone in a couple of days.)  Our first winter here in Wisconsin was the year after the exploding toilets, though, so I’m very grateful to have missed that!

Despite being a bit shook by the weather, we still love Oshkosh and all of Wisconsin that we have seen so far.  We love the small-town, neighborly feel with all of the city amenities not far away.  I especially love the support the communities here have for small businesses!  There are so many shops that I didn’t realize existed anymore: from vacuum repair to boutique clothing, to my personal favorite, and actual camera store!  The Downtown Oshkosh Association has been so helpful with networking and meeting other business owners, and I love following the Visit Oshkosh pages on social media for new (and not new but still amazing!) and exciting things happening in Oshkosh.  It’s a dream living here, and my family and I love being part of the community.

But, chances are you’re not here to read about how much I love this community I’ve fallen into.  Chances are, you’re here to read about boudoir.

In The Beginning

Today’s blog is going to be just a little bit different.  It will be about growth and progression, and how excited I am to see where I am now compared to where I’ve been.

Miss A is going to be helping me with that.

Miss A is a repeat client (and dare I say, a dear friend) who has been with me since the literal beginning.  She was actually the first client I photographed after moving to Wisconsin, and has had sessions in all of my spaces: when I was photographing out of AirBnB/hotels, when I had my home studio, when I had my first commercial studio in Downtown Oshkosh, and now in my new studio.

Photographing her in all of these places has given me such a great visual of the changes I’ve experienced in the last 2 and a half years; changes in the location, my style, and my own abilities as a photographer.  I’m a very big believer in continuing my education in my craft, and I’ll never stop learning and striving to be better than I was yesterday.

2019

A woman in red lingerie lays on a bed of gray satin sheets. The background is dark, creating a beautiful intimate light on the woman. The image was taken by Inferno Boudoir in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

2019 is, of course, when my Wisconsin photography journey began.  I’d been photographing weddings for several years in Colorado before we moved, but I knew very few people in Wisconsin.  I didn’t have a studio, so I was photographing in AirBnBs or hotels (with permission).

Enter Miss A, who rocked her session.  One of the images from that session is actually a large metal sample in my studio, and one of my favorite images to date.

Shiny and New

The move into my new studio has been such a dream.  To say I’m in love with this new location would be an understatement.  I think obsession might be a better description!  A healthy obsession, of course 😉

Being obsessed with this new space means I’ve been creating some beautiful artwork, and I’m SO excited to finally have a chance to share some of it.  I’ve been slacking a bit on the blog, but hopefully I’ll be able to keep up with sharing again (although I wouldn’t hold my breath lol)

Woman in white lingerie sitting on a leather couch during a boudoir session in downtown Oshkosh boudoir studio

Downtown Oshkosh

One of the best parts of this new location is feeling like I’m more in the heart of Downtown Oshkosh.  My previous studio was only a couple of blocks away, still in the downtown area, but since I was on the 3rd floor of an office building, I felt like I could have been worlds away.

Now, I have beautiful, large windows looking right onto the street and walkway.  I’m also taking part in some of the events being held by Downtown Oshkosh, like the Chocolate Stroll that took place in early February.  It was such a fun and interesting event, and helped me meet so many new people.  I’m greatly looking forward to taking part in more events, like the Wine Walk.  What a great opportunity to be a part of the community!

Oshkosh has so far been such an amazing place to live.  When we first moved here in November 2019, we hadn’t anticipated the pandemic taking a toll on our ability to participate in the community, so now that things are returning to some semblance of normal, I’m ready to get out there and meet my neighbors and community members.

2022 Will Be A Great Year

And I’m not kidding – this is going to be a GREAT year.

The boudoir images in this post are from one of my first sessions in my new studio, and if they’re any indication of how the year is going to go, this year is going to SLAY for me, and for Inferno Boudoir.  I’m putting in the work to empower every woman who walks into my studio, and hopefully make a positive impact on the world, one goddess at a time.

Will you make this your best year?

Will this be your year?  Are you going to MAKE this your year?  What better time than now to take that step and make your year the best you can by book a boudoir session with one of the best boudoir photographers in the Fox Valley?

Sometimes, it’s hard to love ourselves.  I get it.  So let me help you learn to love yourself.

Let’s do the damn thing!

Should you get it done?

If you’ve been researching boudoir sessions, you’ve probably thought about hair and makeup.  You’re probably wondering if it’s you should do.  Maybe you don’t normally wear makeup, and the thought of putting a full face on and styling your hair before a session seems like a daunting task.  Or maybe you wear makeup all the time, but want something that’s not your normal look and aren’t sure where to start.  Do you hire someone?  Ask a friend?  Where do you even FIND a hair and makeup artist?  Is it even worth it?

Before you dive too deep into finding a hair and makeup artist, I have some great news: every boudoir session that takes place in my downtown Oshkosh studio (or in any place I photograph boudoir in the Fox Valley) includes hair and makeup.  You read that right.  Your session with me includes hair and makeup.

There’s no wondering how to find a hair and makeup artist, or figuring out how booking one works.  It’s all done for you, and you don’t even have to go anywhere additional for it!  Your hair and makeup will be done right in my studio in downtown Oshkosh before your boudoir session.  Easy-peasy!

Your next thought might be whether you want hair and makeup.  Is it worth it?  I highly recommend having them done, and here’s why:

  1. You’re going to feel amazing with that fabulous hair and flawless face. Trust me. And that feeling of confidence will totally show in your photos!
  2. It’s less that you have to worry about. You’re already going to be feeling a little nervous the day of your boudoir shoot, so why not sit back, relax, and get yourself pampered, knowing you’ll look amazing?
  3. These people are professionals. They know exactly what kind of tools, colors and products to use to bring out your best features and make you look stunning. And isn’t that exactly how you want to look on your boudoir session day?
  4. It’s a chance to personalize your session.  Maybe you love your normal look and want to memorialize it in your session.  Maybe you want to go all-out and get a super sexy smoky eye.  This is entirely up to you – you can go as natural or as glam as you want.  The artist will even apply lashes if you want them!

[imagebox_item displaytype=”none” target=”_self” icon=”feather-icon-link” image=”https://infernoboudoir.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/bwkk2021-1-3.jpg” title=”Title of the image box” link=”” linktext=”{{linktext}}” last_item=”builder”] Integer posuere erat a ante venenatis dapibus posuere velit aliquet. Cras mattis consectetur purus sit amet fermentum. [/imagebox_item]

Will having hair and makeup really effect your images?  Yes, but not in the way you think.  You’re beautiful, with or without makeup, but getting a little pampering, knowing you have one less thing to take care of, and relaxing for the full royal treatment will have such a huge effect on your confidence, and THAT is what will effect your images more than anything.

Most of my sessions, I work with the team at Starstruck Artistry LLC for hair and makeup, and I can’t rave about them enough.  They bring visions to life.  Whether that vision is super glamorous or no-makeup makeup, the professionals I work with will make it happen.

The choice is ultimately up to you.  If you don’t want hair and makeup at all, that’s completely fine, as well.  I promise, you’re going to look and feel like a rockstar regardless.  But, while hair and makeup isn’t required, it is complimentary.  Why not take advantage of being treated to the full experience?

Did you see our exciting news?

Lisa Wiker Photography and Inferno Boudoir have a new studio in Downtown Oshkosh!

I moved into this gorgeous new space in December, and have been hard at work making it into the dream space is now is.  It has everything I’ve ever wanted – big, beautiful windows that let in so much gorgeous light, hard wood floors, high ceilings, and so much space!  I have a full bedroom setup, two glorious couches, racks for the lingerie in the client closet, a vanity for your hair and makeup to be done at, and a lovely little space for a fridge, complete with snacks and a coffee bar!

I also have a backdrop setup for traditional portraits and headshots, but boudoir photography is my main focus.  Let me tell you, the boudoir ideas I have for this place are AMAZING.  2022 is going to be a great year, and I hope you will be a part of it!

[imagebox_item displaytype=”none” target=”_blank” icon=”simpleicon-frame” image=”https://infernoboudoir.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/2022-01-15_0002.jpg” title=”Red backdrop” link=”https://infernoboudoir.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/2022-01-15_0002.jpg” linktext=”{{linktext}}” last_item=”builder”] [/imagebox_item]

Red Boudoir in the New Studio

The backdrop is for more than just headshots, though.  It makes for great boudoir photos, too.  I’m a bit partial to the look of the leather chair and couch in front of it.  These boudoir sessions gave me SO many ideas.  You’ll be seeing more red in my boudoir sessions for sure 😉 and just in time for Valentine’s Day!

Speaking of, who doesn’t love a little Valentine’s Day boudoir?  These sexy photo shoots make for such a great gift for your partner.  Boudoir photography is so intimate and unique to each person, you don’t even have to be in lingerie for it!

[imagebox_item displaytype=”none” target=”_blank” icon=”simpleicon-frame” image=”https://infernoboudoir.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/2022-01-15_0006.jpg” title=”Title of the image box” link=”https://infernoboudoir.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/2022-01-15_0006.jpg” linktext=”{{linktext}}” last_item=”builder”] [/imagebox_item]

To the Window….

In my old studio, I only have a couple of windows and they didn’t let in much light.  The new studio has huge windows that face right onto Merritt Street in Oshkosh, and the light that comes in from them is spectacular.

The windows don’t have to be open, though.  I have some heavy curtains to block out the light, and to prevent anyone from looking in if you want to be more private.

These two photos show just how beautiful both open curtains and closed curtains can be.  I love that there are so many options here, so I can cater to anyone’s preferences.

To the Wall

All this open space on the walls and the high ceilings gives me SO many options for tapestries, including the blue flower blossom and white and gold marble in these two photos.  Just a little change and the same exact spot looks so different!

Also, Adore chose to wear this outfit out of the client closet, and OH. MY. GOD.  What an absolute bombshell!  I can’t believe how amazing she looks in it against the white and gold marble tapestry.  It all matches and works better than I could have imagined!

And the green bodysuit Stacie brought to her session just STUNNED.  It looks amazing with the blue of the tapestry behind her, and just fit with the leather couch.

I just can’t even with these two gorgeous ladies!

Bedroom Photo Shoot

I can’t leave out a couple of shots of the bedroom setup, too.  I love how it all comes together, and that headboard!  I’m in love.  Can’t you just imagine yourself wrapped up in those glorious satin sheets in your favorite lingerie, relaxing and being the total goddess that you are?

And once again, that windoooooooowwwwwwww!

Cindy& Don

It’s no secret that I consider myself less of a photographer of people and more of a photographer of connections.  The connection between two people who are madly in love with each other has been my favorite to capture; first in wedding photography, and now in boudoir.  I love the intimate passion I get to capture during couples boudoir sessions.  The looks, the touches, the smiles.  It’s all magic, really.  I mean, session I photograph is magic, but love is a different type of magic.

Couples boudoir isn’t new, but in recent years has started to gain quite a bit of traction.  Something about the experience just seems to speak to some couples – and I’m HERE FOR IT.  I get almost giddy when photographing a couple who is head-over-heels in love with each other and not afraid to show it. And Cindy and Don were definitely not afraid to show it.  Their session was just *chefs kiss* perfection.

Not only are these two super fun people to work with, but they’re so incredibly in love with each other.  They’ve been together for 16 years, and still crazy about each other.  The way they look at each other melts my heart.

This session was all the things I want couples sessions to be: fun, intimate, and a little bit spicy, if you catch my drift.I’m very upfront with all of my clients that I don’t photograph exposed genitalia.  Not that there is anything wrong with that by any means, but it’s simply something I have no experience in.  I don’t feel I could do my clients justice in something I’m not versed in.That said, a couples boudoir session can absolutely be spicy without any exposed genitalia.  Cindy and Don brought the heat, there’s no denying that.  These photos of them in the window of my old studio – SWOON.  Did it just get a little hot in here?!  I practically screamed because of how amazing these shots came out.  I mean, just LOOK at how gorgeous this is!  The light!  The pose!  The expressions!  Just all of it.

Oh, and we’re not even to the spicy part yet 😉 Before we get into the really spicy part of this session, I want to share these two photos of Cindy alone.  She’s a freaking goddess, and just a completely beautiful person.  In the small amount of time I was able to spend with her and Don, I could just tell she’s a gorgeous person inside and out, so I’m super glad I was able to capture a couple fun shots of her.

Step into empowerment with Inferno Boudoir in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. In this striking image, a woman dons construction gear, radiating strength and confidence. The artful composition captures her bold individuality, celebrating the beauty of resilience and self-assurance in this unique boudoir photograph.

Now on to the spicy stuff.  You’ve been warned 😉

This photograph of Don’s finger in the metal ring of Cindy’s collar is probably one of my favorite images from their session.  I’m a huge fan of BDSM boudoir and will jump at any chance to photograph it, but something about the implied pull in this shot is just….. freaking fire.  It’s so beautiful and intimate and sexy and so many more things!

This is just the beginning.  Their session only got better from here!

I told you it only got better from there!  I just love the top Cindy chose to wear for this session.  I’d never seen this top in person, but I’ve seen it on TikTok and have wondered how good they look in real life.  It definitely didn’t disappoint, but it helps that Cindy is an absolute bombshell 😉

They brought their own items for this session, and I absolutely loved photographing them with them.  The cuffs, the chain, the flogger – it all seemed to go together so well!

We finished off their session with the shower set – which has easily been one of my more popular sets for boudoir sessions.  I can’t say I’m surprised.  What would be more sexy than a shower boudoir session?

I’ll leave you with a handful more of my favorite images from this amazing couples boudoir session.  I absolutely loved this session – and it will be one I remember easily, since it was my last session I ever had in my old studio.  But that will be a blog for another day 😉

Things in your closet you may not have known were sexy enough for your boudoir session2021-11-05_0005.jpg

So you’ve got a boudoir session coming up, and you’re trying to figure out what you want to wear. Sure, lingerie and a cute matching bra and panty set are probably a given, but you want something more, something different.

Well, look no further. Here’s a short and sweet list of some things you probably already have in your closet that will make your boudoir session stand out.

A Cardigan

Who doesn’t love a nice cardigan? Especially on those chilly days, cardigans give us an adorable extra layer that doesn’t feel like a coat, and allows us to show off our cute outfits since it’s open in the front. They’re also SUPER sexy to wear in boudoir sessions. Modest and revealing at the same time, a cardigan is a great way to convey being cold and oh so hot at the same time.

Women in blue denim button down shirts for boudoir inspiration

A Button-down Shirt

Button-down shirts look nice and professional in certain situations, but they can look so provocative when you leave a few buttons undone. Pair it with a pair of knee-high socks and a cheeky panty (you won’t be able to see them anyway if the shirt is long enough, just adding a bit of mystery) and you have an outfit that will leave anyone speechless. If you have a partner you plan on sharing your images with, use one of their button-downs so that every time they wear that shirt, they think of you in it.

aimee,boudoir,brand ambassador,studio,

Jerseys

Some people aren’t a fan of sports, and that’s totally fine. Some people, however, eat, sleep, and breathe their game. Getting a little sexy lounge time in your favorite jersey (or your partner’s) makes for some great images that will appeal to all the admirers of that team.

2021-11-05_0004.jpg

Leather Jackets

A leather jacket, you say? YES PLEASE. There’s something so inherently racy about a leather jacket; maybe it’s the decades of being associated with the “bad boys” in society. Maybe I just love them because of some nostalgic crush on characters from an 80s vampire movie. Who can really say? Either way, bring the heat with that leather jacket you don’t wear nearly enough.

Jeans

Finally, I present to you the last of the 5 suggestions I have for today: jeans. Jeans for a boudoir session? Absolutely! Keep a little coverage while still being super sexy, and even open up that top button to allude to what’s underneath, and you have yourself a super seductive look that will leave you feeling like a total goddess.

Need more ideas? Ready to use some of those things from your closet that you’d never thought of in a sexy way? Contact me here and get your session on the books.
